Miyu Yamashita Runs Away with the CPKC Women’s Open

Miyu Yamashita didn’t leave much drama at the CPKC Women’s Open. The Srixon staffer led from the front at Royal Mayfair Golf Club and closed at 23-under 257, running away with her second LPGA Tour title of the 2026 season.

She set the tone on day one with an 8-under 62 that set a tournament record, then simply kept the throttle down — 64, 65, 66. By Sunday morning she’d built a tournament-record 19-under 191 through 54 holes and carried a commanding six-shot lead into the final round. Her 23-under total tied the LPGA Tour’s 72-hole scoring record.

It’s the second win of a breakout 2026 for Yamashita, who also took the Meijer LPGA Classic back in June — the kind of two-title season that turns a name into a headline.

She got it done with a full Srixon and Cleveland bag: a ZXi driver, ZX fairway woods and hybrids, ZXi irons, Cleveland RTZ wedges in 48, 52 and 58 degrees, and a Srixon Z-STAR XV ball.

Weeks like this aren’t built on one great swing — they’re built on repeating a good one for 72 holes. That’s the version of the game a launch monitor helps you chase: a start line you can trust and misses that cluster tighter. Our aboutGolf bays keep that work going year-round in Muskegon — snow or shine — so you can sharpen your own game while the tour heats up.
